We are the voice of a people who have endured pain, loss, and injustice for far too long. The Pashtoon Tahafuz Movement (PTM) is not just an organization—it is a movement born from the struggles of ordinary men, women, and children who dream of living with dignity, safety, and freedom.
We stand for truth in the face of silence, justice in the face of oppression, and unity in the face of division. Our purpose is deeply rooted in protecting the rights, culture, and identity of the Pashtoon people—ensuring that our voices are heard where they were once ignored.
We are students, workers, elders, and youth—bound not by power or politics, but by love for our people and a shared hope for a future free from fear. Our strength lies in peaceful resistance, in telling our stories, and in demanding the rights that every human being deserves.
We believe that no one should have to live in fear of war, displacement, or discrimination. Our struggle is your struggle, because when one community is silenced, the voice of humanity weakens. Together, we rise—not as victims, but as survivors determined to build a just and peaceful tomorrow.
PTM was born out of decades of systemic oppression, including:
Enforced disappearances
Extrajudicial killings
Torture
Harassment and surveillance
These abuses—allegedly carried out by Pakistani military and intelligence agencies—have left thousands without justice.
Many PTM members and supporters have been:
Unlawfully arrested
Imprisoned without trial
Detained in secret locations
In some cases, killed in custody, with families denied the right to mourn
We continue to speak truth to power, demanding justice for the victims and accountability for the perpetrators.
PTM firmly opposes all forms of terrorism, including the use of Pashtun regions as bases for proxy wars and extremist networks—often with state sponsorship. We condemn:
The exploitation of our land and people for military agendas
The destabilizing role of intelligence-backed militant groups
The manipulation of counterterrorism narratives for political gain
We believe that any genuine fight against terrorism must begin with dismantling the state policies that enable it.
Join PTM to stand for justice by demanding accountability for decades of human rights abuses against Pashtuns. Be part of a peaceful platform where your voice is heard, your concerns valued, and your hopes for equality amplified. Together, we work to protect our rich Pashtun culture, language, and traditions that face threats from discrimination and violence. By uniting in nonviolent resistance, we build lasting change and strive for a fair, inclusive future for all.
